My Little Pony/Restoredoll Hair Color Matching Guide

Please read my comments below the photos before assuming a color is a match. Not all ponies pictured are matches to the colors they are shown with. Some are shown more for comparision than as a suggested match. Click any image for a larger view.

All opinions expressed on this page are exactly that. My opinion. Please do not rely on them too heavily as I do not want anyone getting mad at me for telling them a color matches and then disagreeing with me. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself.

Azure Blue


Bubbles	Peach Blossom	Sunlight	Tootsie

No Match. Bubbles was close but she's slightly lighter. Tootsie and Peach Blossom are more of a greenish hue. Might work for rehairing a 1st edition rainbow pony as long as you are redoing the whole blue stripe.

Caddy Red


Bright Eyes	Rice Crispy Baby	Sugarberry

Match! It matches the Rice Crispy baby. Bright Eyes is pretty close too, she might be a shade darker. Sugarberry is more of a pinkish hue so no match there.

CM Yellow


Apple Jack	Butterscotch	Crumpet	Dancing Butterflies

Match! Pretty close anyways. It might be a single shade darker than Applejack. Dancing Butterflies is brighter. Butterscotch and Crumpet are both more golden than this color.

Cotton Candy


Coco Berry	Cotton Candy	Honeysuckle	Pinwheel

Match! This is pretty darn close to the wonderful "fading pink"! Coco Berry isn't faded so she's a little darker but Honeysuckle is a little faded and it looks almost the same. It is DEFFINATELY NOT a match to Cotton Candy! This color is not a match to the 2nd edition raionbow ponies.

Evergreen


Daddy Sweet Celebrations	Medley	Seashell

No Match. Seashell and Medley are both slightly darker. Daddy Sweet Celebrations is noticeably darker.

Hot Pink


Birthflower	Heart Throb	Mimic	Sunlight

Match! This color is almost exactly the same as the color used on Birthflowers and Heart Throb! It does not match Mimic's pink or the pink on the 1st edition rainbow ponies.

Lyme


Mimic	Morning Glory

No Match. The color used on Mimic and Morning Glory is close but more yellow.

Platinum White

Slugger

Match! Close enough for me!

Plum Crazy


Fireball	Glory

No Match. It is a different shade of purple than both of these two.

Purple Passion


Blossom	Locket	Sea Star

Match! I would say it is a match for Locket but Sea Star is lighter than this color and Blossom is just a bit darker. It is VERY close to al of them though!

Ruby Tuesday

Rice Crispy Baby

No Match. This is just a picture for comparision. I forgot to take a picture of Moondancer, but this color is too dark for her as well.

Sapphire

4 Speed

No Match. This is just a picture for comparision. I don't know of any ponies with hair this color.

Sky Blue


Glory	Peach Blossom

Match! This would be perfect for Glory's stripe! It isn't quite green enough to be a match for Peach Blossom.

Thermal Magic Orange

Barnacle

No Match. This is a picture for comparision. Barnacle is more red. This color is oranger than the pic shows and it changes colors when it gets warm.

Tickled Pink


Coco Berry	Cotton Candy	Honeysuckle	Pinwheel

No Match. Everyone appears to be slighter darker than this color. It isn't quite right for the "fading pink" color either.
